Shipping chocolate is tricky business and we take great care when shipping to maintain the quality and integrity of our products. 

Our number one priority is that you receive your chocolate in perfect condition so you can enjoy it the way it’s meant to be enjoyed.

General Guidelines

Orders placed by 3pm will ship the next day. Regular shipping days are Monday to Friday.  Please note that orders are not fulfilled over the weekend and orders placed after 11am on Friday will be shipped the following Monday.

Please note during the Holidays, our ship time may be longer to accommodate a higher volume of orders. We'll do our best to get your orders out as quickly as possible. 

 

Shipping Locations

Hummingbird ships anywhere in Canada and the United States. Upon request, we may be able to ship to other locations at an additional cost.

 

Shipping Method, Delivery & Rates

We ship via best shipping method and transit times vary depending on destination and shipping method selected at checkout. 

Canada

Speed Method Ship Time Cost
Regular Expedited 3-10 days Orders over $100 = Free
Order under $100 = $15-$20 depending on the province.
Fast Express Post 2-3 days $18-$23 depending on the province.

 

United States

Speed Method Ship Time Cost
Regular Tracked Packet USA 4-7 days Orders over $125 = Free
Order under $125 = $14-$22 depending on the state.
Fast FedEx Express Post 2-3 business days $15-$30 depending on the state.

Summer Shipping

Hot + chocolate = a delicious hot drink to be sipped, not a goopy parcel on your doorstep. 

Chocolate is sensitive to heat and that means we do things a little differently during the warmer months to preserve the quality of our chocolate. 

Between May and October, we ship our chocolate inside a lined, well insulated box, packed with ice. This protects our chocolate from heat and reduces the risk of products melting. Orders typically also only ship out from Monday – Thursday to reduce the amount of time chocolate sits in delivery trucks and transit. Please note if the weather will be too hot to safely ship, we will hold your order until it is cooler.

By taking these extra precautions we do our best to protect chocolate from melting, but we are not responsible for melted or damaged chocolate once it leaves our factory.
